Presentations and Famelab
My internship taught me one thing:
If you want to increase your chances pretty much anywhere, you need to know how to talk.
Especially, soft skills like holding presentations are quite valuable when it gets to selling yourself.
Because, as always: When you hold a presentation, you always present yourself!
These are three presentations I held for Famelab.
Famelab is about presenting your research in three minutes, so even your grandma could understand it, without using powerpoint.
It was a nice challenge and I plan on participating again next year.
Unfortunately these are all in German, but maybe you just want to see me talk, then you're good to go.
How geophysicists differ from bats.
Afterwards my girlfriend said that she finally understood, what I actually do in university.
Batman, Superman, Geophysicist.
A homage to us geophysicists.
This presentation granted me the admission to the finals.
Geophysicists in the underground.
This is my final presentation.
I explained seismics encouraging the audience to participate.
There are many ways to hold a presentation.
Inspired by Famelab, now I always ask myself. If explaining a topic takes more than 3 minutes, did I really get it?!
Thanks for watching!
